Fredonia is the gateway to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and has been termed Arizona’s desert rose.  Our town is centrally located with access to National Parks, National Monuments, State Parks, and other scenic wonders.  We think you will enjoy visiting Fredonia and enjoying the views, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly hospitality.

UTILITY BILLS COMING LATE

Utility Bills will be late this month.  The machine was sent in for services and it has not made it back yet!   Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause..

 

Fee Schedule Increases

There is a proposal to increase some fees and change some wording to reflect the current procedures on the Town Fee Schedule.  They are as follows:

Micro Chipped Altered dog: increase from $0 to $5

Park Usage Fee for over 30 people:  $35.00

Senior Center Rent:  2 hours-$30; 3 hours to all day- $50

Building Permit Fees: change to the Modular Home and FBB fees to the following:

Manufactured/Mobile Home- $350

FBB Residental-$450/story

FBB Commerical- $4.50/LF per story

Bulk Water Rates to reflect the change from $5.00 per card fill to say $5.00 per card purchase

Landfill fees to reflect correct billing:  The new bill and reading will be as follows:

Everyone will be charged a Landfill fee of $5.  It is reflected in your container now.  But, those who choose to not have a container will see the fee on their bill.  Following is the breakdown of fees: (Note:  This reflects no change in amounts, just wording)

Landfill fees: Resident-$5.00; Non-resident-$7.50; Commercial- $12.50

Canister Fees: $9 a canister; Dumpster Fees:  Resident & Non-resident- $35.00; Commercial- $43.00

Shut-off Notice: from $10-$25

Reconnect fee: from$20-$25

Delinquent notice fee: from $5 to $0

Oral Health Clinic

The Oral Health Clinic is coming to the Fredonia Library on Sept. 23, 2015 @ 10:30am.  They will be providing exams and some sealants.  These services are only available for ages 0-5. Contact the Library for more information at 643-7137.

CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORT AVAILABLE

The 2014 Annual Consumer Confidence Report for Fredonia’s water system is now available.  If you would like to review the report,  click on the link to the left or visit the Town Office.


 

Building Permits

WHO IS REQUIRED TO GET A BUILDING PERMIT?

Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert, or to replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by the 2006 international residential code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit.

 

Senior Center

BAKE SALE

The Senior Citizens Center is having bake sales the 2nd Friday of each month at the Senior Center.  The proceeds are going to new flooring that is desperately needed.    Come by and get some yummy treats and donate to a great cause!

Fredonia Historical DVD Now Available

The Fredonia Historical Society is proud to present a remarkable centennial collection of historical black and white photographs.  The DVD is only $25 andis available at the library.  Also available is the History of Fredonia book for only $10.

Historical Society Needs Your Help
The Fredonia Historical Society is seeking histories of Fredonia and its people from pioneer times to the present.  The histories will be stored in the Society's Archive Collection as a permanent record of our community.  Anyone interested in submitting histories contact VeRene Tait at 643-7223.
