Fredonia is the gateway to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and has been termed Arizona’s desert rose.  Our town is centrally located with access to National Parks, National Monuments, State Parks, and other scenic wonders.  We think you will enjoy visiting Fredonia and enjoying the views, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly hospitality.

First Things First at the Library

First Things First is coming to Library on August 14, 1015 at 10:30am.  The presentation is called "Born Learning" for ages 0-5 and their parents.  The class teaches parents how to prepare children for kindergarten and reading.  Come and learn!

Building Permits

WHO IS REQUIRED TO GET A BUILDING PERMIT?

Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert, or to replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by the 2006 international residential code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit.

 

Senior Center

BAKE SALE

The Senior Citizens Center is having bake sales the 2nd Friday of each month.  The proceeds are going to new flooring that is desperately needed.  This month’s bake sale will be April 10 from 11-1 at the Center.  Come by and get some yummy treats and donate to a great cause!

Online Payments Now Available!

The Town of Fredonia now accepts payments ONLINE! Just click on the "online payments" tab above, select whether it is for a utility payment or miscellaneous payment, such as a court fine. Once registered for your utility payments, you can even sign up for paperless billing! You can use a check or credit or debit card

(Visa, Mastercard or Discover.)

Construction begins on Shooting Range

The Town of Fredonia Shooting Range is up and running.  Great improvements have been made and we appreciate the hard work of the committee and all others who have helped to get it up and running for the community.

The new range is set for handgun, muzzleloader, high power rifle, .22 rifle and archery. If you have a shooting organization and would like more information about the shooting facilities  please contact Councilman Andre Bundy at 928-643-7308.

Starting with January 1, 2015, the Shooting Range will be locked to driving in.  There will be an annual membership and fee to have access to the gate and the container.  Contact the Town office for membership forms or print them from the Website under forms.

 

Fredonia Historical DVD Now Available

The Fredonia Historical Society is proud to present a remarkable centennial collection of historical black and white photographs.  The DVD is only $25 andis available at the library.  Also available is the History of Fredonia book for only $10.

Historical Society Needs Your Help
The Fredonia Historical Society is seeking histories of Fredonia and its people from pioneer times to the present.  The histories will be stored in the Society's Archive Collection as a permanent record of our community.  Anyone interested in submitting histories contact VeRene Tait at 643-7223.
