Fredonia Killer Whales Swim Team

What’s the “coolest” thing in town? The Fredonia Killer Whales Swim Team, of course! The team is now finishing its seventh year. Every morning at 7:00 a.m. you’ll see 55-65 dedicated kids practicing in our “puddle.” (Yes, we need a larger pool!)

Fredonia is part of the Tri-State Summer Swim League and competes with teams from Nephi, Cedar, Parowan, Hurricane, St. George, and Mesquite. The Swim Team won the 2009 and 2010 championships and took 1st place in the 2007, 2008, and 2009 “Beat the Heat” meets. The success of the swim team can be credited to the great kids, dedicated coaches and parents, and the wonderful people of Fredonia who willingly support the team.

Signups for the the Fredonia Killer Whales Swim Team occurs at the end of the school year. Check the calendar for signup dates and times.

Booster Club

The Booster Club is an organization comprised of volunteer parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, high school students, and other interested community citizens.

The Booster Club is designed to help the athletic departments and the DECA program with different costs such as new uniforms, equipment, and travel expenses. It is also responsible for promoting school and community unity and spirit.

Girl Scouts

What do Girl Scouts do? The answer is almost anything a girl would like to do!

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is girl-driven, reflecting the ever-changing needs and interests of participating girls. It provides girls in kindergarten through twelfth grade with a wide variety of leadership opportunities available in Girl Scout journeys, books, awards, the Go Girls Only, Studio 2, and other GSUSA Web sites, as well as other resources.

The program encourages increased skill-building and responsibility, and also promotes the development of strong leadership and decision-making skills. All program activities are grade-appropriate and based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, as well as on the Girl Scout Promis and Law.

Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, provides life skills, and develops personal fitness.

For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, knows that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Fredonia Eagle Scouts

The Eagle Scout Award is scouting’s highest rank and among its most familiar icons. Men who have earned it count it among their most treasured possessions. Those who missed it by a whisker remember exactly which requirement they didn’t complete. Americans from all walks of life know that being an Eagle Scout is a great honor. The award is more than a badge; it’s a state of being.
